  • 106 m2 of solar photovoltaic panels with a peak power output of 15 kW can be found on the Bec Rouge residence, property of the Régie Électrique de Montvalezan
  • Thermal solar panels have been installed on the forest garage providing hot water for the snow grooming machines personnel: three solar heaters with a surface of 13,5 m2 on the lodging side of the Eucherts building

  • The resort takes active steps to limit its energy consumption, by recycling heat generated by the ice skating rink’s refrigeration unit to heat the Eucherts tourist information office, the bowling alley, the ice skating rink and a few shops

  • Information on the optimisation of energy consumption in local public buildings is available at the local electricity company and at the town hall

  • An annual clean-up day, jointly organised by the lift services, local schools and local professionals, took place on 12th of June 2008. Approximately 40 people attended and 500Kg of rubbish was picked up

  • The resort’s public and private stakeholders are regularly brought together by the tourist information office along with the local governance body
  • The resort was awarded the ‘Famille plus’ kite mark and offers specific infrastructures and discounts for families

  • Housing is available for seasonal workers in the Brintze 2 building and the two OPAC buildings Merisier and Brintze 1

  • Advantages for seasonal workers include discounted ski passes, discounts in certain shops and activities and a gym

  • The Haute Tarentaise dairy cooperative is located in the resort

  • 10 farms are located in the town of Montvalezan: livestock farming

  • Skiing is possible for those with disabilities, along with discounts on ski passes

  • The resort receives families in difficulty in a joint initiative with the association “les ptit loups”
