Let’s talk BBC !
The reference BBC Effinergie (Low Consumption Building) indicates that the building’s maximum consumption of energy is less than 50kWh/m²/year. This indicator varies with altitude and climatic zone. The BBC aims at dividing by 2 the energy consumption of a new conventional building and by 3 or 4 the one of an existing building under renovation. The BBC is a technology allowing great improvements for a cost 10 to 20% higher; quickly made profitable due to subsidies and energy savings. The interest of a certification BBC is to ensure a certain level of performance despite the need for quality with mandatory results (and not only of means) and to control the procedure of performance (source ASDER). The building energy consumption is mainly linked to the users’ behavior.
To adopt an eco-consumer behavior is to act for the environment !
Subsidies :
- The tax credit is a financial help from the state dedicated to sustainable development and energy savings and it concerns your main residence (new or bought within the last 2 years).
- The eco-loan at 0% interest allows you to pay for the renovations (up to 30 000 €) of your main residence to improve its efficiency so long as it was built before the 1st of January 1990.
- Rhone Alps Region helps owners pay for a part of the equipment installations dedicated to renewable energies.
These subsidies can be completed by others from the ANAH – National Housing Agency.
Other helps exist, ask the ADEME : http://www.ecocitoyens.ademe.fr/financer-mon-projet/renovation/creditdimpot- developpement-durable
My resort was awarded this logo if:
The local council, the tourist office and the lift services in the resort take active steps to reduce their energy consumption (lighting of their offices, heating…). Low energy consumption systems exist in at least 25% of public buildings or ski lift service shelters. Further efforts to educate people about energy savings are projected and underway. An energy performance rating for public buildings and steps to control the consumption will be made.
