  • Supply chain: 100% of common suppliers with Lafuma, that is for 80% of products for Picture, signed Lafuma’s charter code of conduct.

100% of the brands subcontractors and factories have signed Picture Organic's ethical and environmental code of conduct agreement. This agreement is based on the absence of forced labour & child work, the respect of ILO rules and local legal obligations. 

Certain subcontractors also hold GOTS certifications, while others are already audited by the Lafuma group.

  • Environmental site management: 90% of trips above 100km are done by train.

    Sorting of wastes, each new employee is trained to sustainable development and eco gestures, one person is responsible for sustainable development. 


  • Education & information:   The sales staff is given specific training on environmental issues to be able to raise awareness of customers.

    Implementation of specific corners for products in organic cotton or in recycled materials in some shops.

  • Supply chain: 100% of suppliers are ISO 140001 & ISO 9001 certified. 100% of suppliers are audited each year by Lafuma, by an independant company and by Picture .

  • GHG emissions: A carbon footprint analysis will be realized in 2012.

  • Environmental commitments: Financial support (1% of turnover) of six environmental organisations such as Surfrider foundation, Suddenrush, WWF, Greenpeace. 

    Partnership with 'Bioskieur' to raise awareness of the general public on the issue of rubbish & littering in the mountains.

  • Durability: Durability is integrated in specifications at the stage of design. Lifetime guarantee of products. Possibility to repair your product or to replace it if it’s defective
  • Global eco design process: 3rd Prize of “Graduate Schools” for the creation of a company which offers ethical and environmental products.

    R&D programme with local companies to find new raw materials not from petrochemical industry (eg: corn’s starch).

  • Eco design actions: 100% of products have 100% of organic materials or at least 50% of recycled materials (polyester or polyamide). Lining of jackets are made of recycled material. A label is on the product to inform that it comes from recycled material. 
  • End of life and recycling: Work with Asian factories for the implementation of a recycling channel.Development of partnerships with some associations for a “second-life of products” and  implementation of a take back programme of products in shops.
  • Non toxicity: All products are certified Eko, oeko tex or gots or organic exchange
  • Packaging & logistics: 100% of shipping by boat or truck. Hangers are in recycled cardboard.
