  • Workplace wellbeing: Online platform for car-sharing for professionals and personal journeys. This platform is common to Quechua&Wedze.
    Luncheon voucher are available for employees who wish that. Employees can eat at the canteen for a price between 4€ and 9€.
    All new employees induction includes a security training course, a course on individual protection equipments and 1st aid at work.
    Showers & changing rooms are available on site as well as a "chill-out" space with table footballs and table tennis.
    Concierge service available for employees.
    The oxylane group also has 4 people dedicated to diversity and handicap at work.
  • Supply chain:  Wed’Ze personnel regularly visit production sites with the aim of long term improvements. 100% of the brands first level suppliers and subcontractors have signed the Oxylane Group social charter. Wed’Ze conducts frequent external audits and implements a corrective action plan with the subcontractor in question whenever problems are identified.
  • CSR: The Fondation Décathlon contributes to integration via sport: it helps disadvantaged people to be integrated through education and sport.
    Since 2005 : 80 projects were supported for 25000 people whose 50% abroad.
  • Support for local communities: Work with a French supplier for plastic injection in different products (U-Ski, Run Slide et Board Slide) which represent 0,5% of total products in volume and 50% of the range «Sledes/Games in the snow ». Wood skis are made in Jura.

  • Environmental site management: Sorting of wastes and contract with a recycler, car sharing platform, 2 videoconferences rooms, design team are trained to eco design, Intranet website inside the Group dedicated to environment.
    A new HQ that meets green building standards is planned for 2014. This building will be equipped with solar photovoltaïc panels, water filtration, no tarmac for the car park to let rainwater seep through and will use natural light & heat as much as possible.There are 3 environmental managers at group level plus one person within Wed'ze.
  • Education & information: In the shop located in Domancy, consumers can find posters of the spring cleaning campaign organized by Mountain Riders.
    Environmental training for 70% of employees (product manager, engineers, supply chain manager, salesteam…)
    Recommendations on how take care of products are availbale in signs in shops. 
  • Supply chain: 100% of suppliers are following REACH directive.
    Since 2011, implementation of an environmental management approach to assess suppliers. Each range of product (socks, backpacks, textile) has at least one supplier committed in this approach.
  • GHG emissions: In 2007, the Decathlon group carried out a simplified GHG emissions survey. Following this survey the group aims to focus on the eco design of products with a high environmental impact.
  • Environmental commitments: support of Mountain Riders organization through donations with Decathlon shop in Domancy.

  • Durability: All products carry a two year gurantee and backpacks have a five to ten year guarantee. Around 10 repair and maintenance warehouse exist in Europe for skis and snowboards and 20 warehouse are responsible for taking care and repair damaged gear and garments.
  • Global Eco design process: An eco design guidebook and simplified internal LCA tool is available on the group's intrantd, with an “intermediary”person identified within Wed'ze. 70% of the staff has been trained in eco design & simplified LCA's (100% of the design teams).
    Simplified LCA achieved on the packaging of 20 products to measure GHG emissions, water, energy and wastes consumptions.
  • Eco design actions:  An underwear (RnS 50) is in organic cotton: 5,9% of saled in volume in 2009/2010.
    2011/2012: a woman jacket, Oneslide, is made of 80% of recycled materials: recycled polyester from plastic bottles for internal and external fabrics and wadding.
    Use of dope dye for skis bags.
    Use of recycled wadding for jackets, trousers and jumpsuits which represent 6,1% of sales for 2011/2012.
    Implementation of an environmental management programme for products: eco design, procurement, packaging, sorting of wastes.

  • End of life and recycling: study for upcycling skis
  • Non toxicity: Organic cotton for the range of underwear RnS 50 (5,3% of sales)
    100% of suppliers signed Oxylane’s toxicological specifications which follows many points of REACH directive.
